With the RU Flex Plan purchases students make, using their Flex Dollars are at prices 50% or more below Dining Services retail prices. 
In all retail locations (locations other than Muse or Dalton) students pay 50% of the listed retail price when using their Flex Dollars. Students begin the semester with $482.00 Flex Dollars.

The student pays 50% of the cash price for purchases made at the retail shops, such as Wendy's and Chick-fil-A, located in Dalton Hall and the Bonnie Hurlburt Student Center.

The Flex Plan also comes with $30.00 Vending Dollars, which may be used in the Snack and Pepsi vending machines on-campus.
Purchases made with Flex Vending Dollars are dollar for dollar transactions.

As with any meal plan the Flex Plan has overhead costs factored into the cost of the plan. Any unused portion of the plan, at the end of the semester is lost.

Please note: This plan will not allow for the purchase of 3 meals per day for the entire semester. If the account balance reaches zero before the end of the semester, the meal plan will no longer work unless additional Flex Dollars (Flex Dollars Plus) are purchased. Additional Flex Dollars Plus can be purchased via our web site, by mail or in person in the RU Express Office in Walker Hall. Any additional Flex Dollars Plus purchased will be added at the full dollar amount and receive all discounts associated with the Flex Plan.

This plan offers the students the ability to use 19 of the 19 meals offered each week in either of the two dining halls, i.e. Muse or Dalton cafeteria. Students can use only one meal per meal period. Weekly meal balances are reset each Saturday and unused meals from the week before do not carry over. The 19 meal plan comes with $150.00 Food Dollars that can be used for purchases made in the Terrace Shops, Chick-fil-A, and on campus vending machines. As with any meal plan any unused portion remaining at the end of each semester does not carry over into the following semester.

This plan offers the students the ability to use 15 of the 19 meals offered each week in either of the two dining halls, i.e. Muse or Dalton cafeteria. Students can use only one meal per meal period. Weekly meal balances are reset each Saturday and unused meals from the week before do not carry over. The 15 meal plan comes with $150.00 Food Dollars that can be used for purchases made in the Terrace Shops, Chick-fil-A, and on campus vending machines. As with any meal plan any unused portion remaining at the end of each semester does not carry over into the following semester.

This plan offers a total of 90 meals per semester. One meal will be deducted for each purchase made in either of the two dining halls, i.e. Muse or Dalton cafeteria. Each meal used for purchases made in the Terrace Shops or Chick-fil-A allows for a $6.20 transfer credit. For example, if a meal purchase comes to $7.00, 1 meal of the 90 meal plan can be used to pay for $6.20 of that $7.00 charge. You can either pay the difference out of pocket or you can use a second meal to cover the cost. Please note: No change or credit is given if a second meal is used to pay the out of pocket cost and that cost is less than $6.20. As with any meal plan any unused portion remaining at the end of each semester does not carry over into the following semester.

This plan offers a total of 65 meals per semester. One meal will be deducted for each purchase made in either of the two dining halls, i.e. Muse or Dalton cafeteria.
